It's an inside job

Many of us desire to have a simple life, to know what to do, when and how to do it. But life often isn't that simple

The complexity of modern living, the push for faster, bigger, better, more more more has outstripped the lessons taught by family, school, religion and left us wanting answers

But here's the rub, there are no easy answers (anyone who tells you there are is a charlatan), just the hard yards

Connecting the dots to sweat the assets

In the quest for simplicity, many of us seem to yearn for a straightforward life, seeking clarity in knowing what to do, when, and how to do it. But given the complexities of modern living, we find ourselves overwhelmed by the incessant demands for more, faster, and better (sorry LinkedIn you're guilty of this too). This societal push can leave us feeling disillusioned, as the lessons imparted by family, school, and religion seem inadequate in addressing the realities we face

And I don't know about you, but it's becoming increasingly evident to me that there are no quick fixes or easy solutions. I'd go so far as to say that anyone claiming otherwise is merely peddling illusions

What's required instead? I think that that answer is different for every one of us. Over time I've found that a willingness to embrace challenges head-on and put in the hard work necessary for growth is a decent starting point (BUT dear reader that's my lens, you likely have your own). In reading much on the topic recognizing that true fulfillment lies not in the pursuit of simplicity, but in our ability to navigate the complexities of life with resilience and purpose. So, let's embrace the journey, knowing that it's the challenges we overcome that ultimately shape us into who we are meant to be.
