Your stories are important, they illustrate the learning points your workshop is delivering - so make them fit, believe me your learners do NOT like it when they need to "find the skill in the story"
Your stories need to be concise - not necessarily short, but to the point. Don't ramble
Your examples in the stories need to be culturally and audience appropriate. I truly had a trainer use sex workers as the example in his story in a negotiation class. It. Did. Not. Fly with the client!
You need to keep them up to date, telling the same story over and over can get old for you, and can turn off a client who has already seen you deliver twice
Your stories need to be your own - if you borrow another's tale be sure to tell it that way, appropriating a story can get you into trouble...
