Next time it is pouring, and you have both the time and inclination, go for a walk
(full disclosure I live in the tropics so dressing for the rain here can be different to most of the rest of the planet)
Put on the right kind of clothing to stay mostly dry*:
Hood / hat
Waterproof coat to cover your body and upper legs (please don't get cold and wet enough to be unsafe)
Sturdy non slip shoes
*if you're in the tropics a hat, shorts, t shirt and slides will suffice
A. Now go outside and walk into the rain. Feel it strike your body, feel the air on your face - temperature, humidity, the splatter of drops. Hear the sounds of the water hitting you. The gurgle of drains, the hiss of a million droplets hitting the ground
How do you feel?
B. Now notice your posture. Where are you tensed? Feel the muscles around your eyes and relax them, how are your shoulders? If they are hunched relax them, if you are stooped over, straighten up. Feel the muscles in your legs, relax them too. Keep walking. Now how you you feel?
Slow your pace by about half, repeat A above. Repeat B.
When you get home take a moment to reflect on what you just experienced
